What are some characteristics you prefer? I think that would narrow down answers and help others help you better, unless you want anything that blooms often.
I have dendrobium oligophyllum. It is a tiny species from tropical Asia I believe. It stands about 3-4 inch tall with small white flowers with green center.
I had it by the sunny window (but shaded by taller dendrobiums) but then it dried out too fast so I now have it under LED in the kitchen. I have had it for about a year now and it has never been out of bloom except for a couple of weeks in the middle of summer when I dried it too much. Mine is mounted but I plan to move to regular pot to keep it moist better.
Then I have another small dendrobium. This is a hybrid of laevifolium and something else. looks basically like laevifolium. Another small plant. needs warmth and moisture just like the other one.
The plant dose not bloom often but it just stays in bloom forever, I mean longer than phals, like 4 to 8 months!!! You have to keep it well watered though otherwise the flowers will wither and never recover.
Growing condition is the same as olygophyllum. warm, bright but not sunny, moist. no rest.
Now you mentioned antelope type dendrobiums.
As long as you can give it hot and humid condition year around, it will always be blooming depending on the variety.
The main issue I have with these plants is that many of these get really big. I mean really really really big.
You cannot possibly grow them in a small window. They can get taller than you!
I have a few, some bloom in the fall but stays in bloom for a long long time (3-7 months) then there are others that bloom two three times a year, but since flowers are so long lasting, it almost seems it is always flowering.
Dendrobium Sonia Earsakul I have, flowers once a year under my care (it can bloom more often), but the flowers last for good half year or more.
This is a common cut flower but not so common as potted plant. Even fresh cut flowers last good two months for me.
Some maudiae type paphiopedilum hybrids will flower two to three times a year and each time, the bloom span will be around 2-3 months.
I have a mini catt (BLC Toshie's magic 'doris'), look up image as it is beautiful! and fragrant!
It blooms about two three times a year, but each time, as most cattleyas do, the bloom last about one month max.
Many oncidiuim hybrids will bloom twice or more per year. Oncidium Sweet Sugar blooms twice a year for me like a clock work and each time, the bloom last for about two months.

Thanks for your contributions NYC!
I'd actually like to keep this thread totally open to things that bloom more than once a year (or, as you reasonably interpreted--that stay in bloom for a ridiculously long time!). I would like it to be useful to all new growers, who might have different preferences and growing conditions from me. Plus, I hope I don't live in Boston for the rest of my life, so my own future growing conditions/preferences might change! I also enjoy looking up and learning about new plants I haven't heard of. And I like hearing about what people actually experience with their plants.
Off to look up Dendrobium Sonia Earsakul and BLC Toshie's magic 'doris'!

My favorite is Paphiopedilum glaucophyllum, or perhaps one of its primary hybrids such as "Pinochio". The spike will take a month to mature but will then continue to produce a succession of flowers for at least a year and a half. Psychopsis paphio is another nice choice if one wants constant flowers. It too flowers in succession from a bloom stalk. The stalk will last far longer and if cut, will branch and produce another active tip.

Paph. liemianum will bloom sequentially like glaucophyllum and Pinocchio. Any variety of Phal . equestris is free blooming at least. 3 times a year for me.

Many Vanda hybrids will bloom two or more times per year. My V. Pachara Delight for example usually give me 2 to 3 blooming each year. MY conditions are no where near perfect for it. But I does very well for me.
Another plant I have that usually gives me two flowerings is Dendrobium Enobi Purple 'Splash'. In spring to summer it blooms off of its newest growth. Then in late summer to fall it will bloom off its older pseudobulbs.

Phragmipedium bessea hybrids are said to bloom for very long periods. I have read that some can bloom over a year, so I had to get one for Christmas.

Most of the mini catt hybrids will bloom multiple times per year as will:
- many pleurothallids
- Psygmorchis pusilla

I'm glad to hear about the Nelly Isler, because that was my other Christmas present.
I'm considering more Catts if I can figure out which ones. The LC I have now is fragrant and winter blooming. I'd like something that blooms more than once.

I agree with Quiltergal 'Terri', my paphiopedlium Pinocchio is in bloom more than any other orchid I own. But it usually only has one or two flowers at a time.
