Keep your fingers crossed for me
I went to Lowe's today to get some sphagnum and had to bring these guys home with me. My plan is to put them in a clear plastic cup with a little bit of wet sphagnum and put a ziploc over top of the cup until they get some new roots.
Not sure if these are salvageable, but for $3 each I figured wth.
I've got BLC. Wendy tanaka 'volcano queen'
C. chocolate drop X pot. san domiano
Blc. ports of paradise 'gelenyrie's green giant'-green

I saw a cattelya at Lowe's the other day. I'm not sure I have enough light to grow these, or I would have tried. It was on the clearance rack, poor thing looked like it was all but done for.
I shall wish you luck!
If you do well saving yours, maybe I will feel inspired to go save a few from my local hardware store too.

I will keep everyone updated. The smaller seedlings should have no problem coming back. Its just this large one that I'm iffy on.
I'm hoping I'll stop feeling sorry for the plants on the clearance rack. Something tells me I won't.

Good luck with them. The rootless one will recover. I usually just stake them on top of the medium and keep the medium damp until roots began to grow. The medium keeps up the humidity.

The oncidium is actually a Maxillaria. I already have one of these, but figured for the price I'd go ahead and get another tenuifolia. You can never have too much coconut right?
