Default phal extreme sunburn underwatered help

Yesterdayvi picked out a phal from trash and took it home... it looked misreable... droopy leafes extreme exposured to sun and havent been watered for months... i immidiatly soaked in in water and put it under t5 it gave me a spikee... how is that possible ?? But anyways ciuld the leafes ever recover and the plant will look healthy or no ?? Please help me ...

It may grow new leaves, but the old ones will not recover. The plant will suck all the energy it can from them, then drop them.

The answer to your question is: Maybe. It will take years to recover from truly severe damage such as you describe.

Phals don't grow spikes over night...are you sure the spike wasn't already there? Any pics?

I don't literalyy mean over night..
Yes i will post pictures, and like i said i left it under the
t5 , and put the roots in water for a day or two ,
however i did treat it like my other orchids that i grow in the greenhouse, so it had the temp drop. Anyways thank you all for the help .
