Hey Wendy, any snow where you are? We've had some for 1 week now! A tad early for us in Alberta. We have made it all the way to Dec 24 without the white stuff before - not this year.

I'm in Chazy,NY. North of the Adirondacks, yards from Lake Champlain,12 miles south of Quebec, across the lake from Vermont. Hot summer days, frigid winters (but warmer the past couple of years. It didn't go below zero!).

Ross,New Russia is right in the mountains and it is a bit cooler than here. The whole area is considered the back of beyond by the rest of the state. Good. That's why it is so nice here.

A blooming orchid or several make the winter go faster.

Thanks for the "insight" I'll let Russ know how the rest of the state feels

All I know is the Adirondacks are very nice, especially in fall. I grew up in Niagara Falls and the mountains have always been an attraction to me. Welcome aboard!

I live in Hood River, Oregon - Windsurfing Capital of the World ( so they say ). But from April - Sept when the population swells by 10X we refer to them as windslime (behind their backs, of course) Welcome, welcome ... (leave your money and go home now ) The rest of the year is given back to normality, farming, and the quiet life.

No snow yet, just LOTS of rain - BUCKETS!! Makes the humidity factor nice for the chids!
