Where in the orchid world do you live?

I am in Ontario Canada and its cold and snowy. The other day it was 3 degrees F outside (-16 celsius)!!! Soooo needless to say i keep all my plants inside. I am pretty new to orchids, I have been keeping them for about 5 years. I started with sharry baby who never forgave me for dropping her while i was moving and she passed away . I have since purchased or saved 2 phals, 2 cymbid, 3 dendros, 1 oncid and 1 paph. I have converted our spare room to a "plant" room and have become obsessed with all things green

I live in Miami Florida, have about forty plants and they're all outdoors in my screened patio. I have entered where I live in the orchid world but it was so long ago. I can't believe how long this post has been going on. So many friends...... It's beautiful!

I live in Montenegro. (I know, I know, nobody know where Montenegro is )

Montenegro is small country in South Europe, close to Italy and Greece. http://www.visit-montenegro.com/imag...europe-map.jpg Climate is subtropical, mediteranean, summers are very hot and winters are mild.

In my country, tropical orchids are still quite rare. There are no orchid nurseries, and only some phal, den and onc hybrids can be found, and are very expensive. I got my orchids from other countries, but still, there are some species that I desperately want but there is no way to get them...

There is a lot of terrestrial orchid species that grow in Montenegro. Some of them, you may know are Orchis, Ophrys, Anacamptis, Cypripedium calceolus...

I look forward to exchanging ideas, and getting some help in the future!

Hi I live in St. Kitts...Caribbean.... very sunny all year around . Have about 75 orchids, all growing outside under my mango tree and lots of other plants to keep me busy while the orchids are not blooming..
