Wow, now that is an old house!! It must be wonderful. Hope you enjoy the site and come back often.
Have you been to the "Break the Ice" forum on the front page? We would all like to hear more about the orchids you grow and your home.

Recently joined (after finally admitting that I am an orchid tragic), and I live in Melbourne Australia.
I have about 60 orchids, which is not near enough. Different types, but I tend to gravitate towards fragrant ones.
Cheers,
Deb

Hello everyone!
I live in Cyprus, in the north-east corner of Europe. I only have 5 Phals at the moment as I have begun my collection a few months ago.
The climate is too hot and dry here, but I try to do my best. I think the Phals appreciate my efforts because 2 of them have started to grow new spikes for the first time
Many thanks to all orchidboard members for the useful information and for sharing their experiences.

Hi Greg, I am by the OIA (Int. airport).
You're soooo lucky to live by the Gulf, in that warm breeze
I had to build that "Chid Hotel", under shade cloth, cause I was running out of room in the GH. They're great out there from Spring to Fall, but the winter is hard outside! I have to wrapped them up as much as I can with blankets, and heaters! Burrrrrr!! Hate these COLD FL winter nights!!
