Ramon, Thanks for the tip about IKEA - one of the few places I haven't looked yet.

The misting system might be just a little over the top, but be sure to post some :photo: . When does the hobby of growing Orchids, stop being a passion and becomes a obsession: ?:

:hello Margit, welcome to OB! My husband is from Heppenheim and we live near Ft Lauderdale. Orchids are my life (but not his)

:waving Hello Carol from Hollywood! I am nearby in Weston. Isn't orchid growing the greatest thing! We really live in the perfect place for it. I have been growing them for over 30 years and will never stop either. ;)

Hi Linsoo! Mine are under lights too! Although I'm not quite as far north as you! Happy spring! :blushing:

Mine are under lights as well, thats why Edison invented the light bulb so he could grow his orchids in Ohio winters....right.

Ok, John and Ross here is a pic of my new orchids stand and the misting system installed... The stand goes during the summer timer to the balcony (leaving place for my Amorphophallus konjiac in the living room) and during the winter time it comes back into the appartment. The misting system runs 8 times a day for 10 seconds each time, starting at 8:00 am and the last spray at 7:00 pm, in order to ensure the plants have time to dry out before it is dark... and no, Ross, I do not have a water mess on the floor  just a very little spray layer but it dries out within minutes and the parquet doe snot suffer at all... and believe it or not, the system is working since one week, and I can already see the response of my mounted Aerangis modesta

On the second picture you can see Rossioglossum Radown Jester and Lc. Chyong Guu Swan 'White Jade'...

Ramon,
Nice setup and thanks for posting the pictures. Congratulations on the blooms too. What plant is next to the Cattleya on the table?
John
