Default Spiking Orchid during fall / winter

Hello everyone!
My question for today it's all of my orchids seen to be healthy and happy some of them are resting and some are spiking and developing buds but I check the one with the buds and it seen the buds are drying out and not opening .... WHY?! Need some help and advice on what to do .

Warm dry air blowing on the spike could cause the buds to wither.

Now I'm in trouble because the layout of my apartment , both of the windows where i have my orchids have heat duct

There are things you can buy - sorry, I have no idea what they may be called - that direct the air from the duct outwards into the room. Or, maybe there is a section on the sill not directly getting blown on?

Is heat duct above or below the window? If below, staking the spike upright may help

It's below ... I will try that , I also try to move the table where I have them farther away from the heat duct

Another option could be having the table directly over the heat duct, making sure your plants (especially spikes) away from the table edges.

Thank you ! I will defiantly try that another thing you remember my cattleyas that had root rot ? One of them is bringing a new bulb at least that's what I think it is, coming from the base )
