It's not at all unusual for some catts to put out only one new growth per year. Even some that grow multiple growths when they get older can be a bit slow to get going when young.

Good to know. I have several hybrids with C. Aurantiaca, and all of them put out several growths this year. My C. Caguas Ruby is working on 2 growths right now as well as a plethora of roots after just recently completing a bloom cycle so that is why seeing this one was surprising. None of them are this size though so maybe that is the difference.

Yeah the number of growths per year is very dependent on the parentage of the plant. Some catts grow a ton during the year, and others just 1-2 growths.

I find most of my seedlings are pretty slow but once they get established, then they take off. So long as it looks healthy and has good roots is the main thing.

What I think is that you have a nice healthy new pseudobulb that is larger than the previous ones and with good looking roots. You are doing fine IMO. Keep doing what you are doing. As it gets larger, maybe next year, you can increase the light level a bit. Don't forget to give some supplemental calcium and magnesium once or twice a month (a CalMag supplement; or some gypsum and Epsom salts, teaspoon each per gallon).
