Winter weather is here time to move em in..
Well my hope that winter type weather would hold off for a few more weeks did not come true....we have had frost/freeze advisorys for the past few days amd freezing night temps w rain coming up in the near future...yuck! Therefore all the babies had to come in and be winterized...turned on the propane heater in the back, ceiling fan on low and my cool mist humidifier going full tilt for to counteract the drying heat of propane. Fingers crossed they will remain happy.

Looks great, although I must say so happy I do not have to move any due to the winter from my balcony! The sun hunt is already enough!

Don't do the sun hunt IMO. If you let the plant experience the natural decrease and increase in light levels it will stay in flow with the season. I don't know if this is true, just guessing. |

It is only few dendros, I heard they should get sun in winter rest, so I place them on the balcony rim, for that one hour I have now, trust me Kevin, it is huge jump, I used to have sun from 3pm starting till some 8pm, now I am lucky to get some maybe few days a week from 5pm-6pm for the ones close to railing, that's all! |

Mine is in my glass doorway; and mine have not gotten sun in about 4-5 days....all cloudy weather grrreeeeeaaaattttt.....and now with the sun direction they are going from my greenhouse getting 6+hours indirect sun toooooo maybe 2-3hrs....yeah talk about a switcheroo...

Sounds like you covered all the bases and your nice looking plants should stay happy.
I live up North and winter weather has been around for some time already. I hate the cold, dreary days, they seem to last forever. We have not had snow yet that stayed on the ground, but it won't be long now. On a positive note, shortly before Christmas, the days are starting to get longer again.  |
