I discovered a burned leaf- help?

On a nice sunny day- I had my Phals near a window with sunshine through the curtains. However as wind picked up, The curtains started shifting and sure enough, by the time I discover what happened, 2 had suffer sun burn. So I did nothing to the plant but today I saw that the burn is growing, so I decided to cut off the burned areas on the leaves and applied cinnamon to the cuts. PS- they are in bloom stage, buds opening left and right plus new spikes coming out of it. I hope I didn't hurt the plant

Did I do right by cutting? Help?
