What a surprise to discover a spike on my Paph. fairrieanum and a NoId Phal. My yellow Onc. Twinkle has one spike so far.
I staked Paph. wardii, the bud is getting really big now and I was worried about the stem breaking. Paph. Pinocchio is coming along nicely. The Phal. growth is tiny, but it is a mitten. I thought Paph. fairrieanum was getting a new leaf, but when I watered it yesterday, it was a spike! The second bud on Phrag. Hanne Popow is growing too. WOW, how lucky can you get?
Pictures are bad, as usual.

What...what....a yellow Onc Twinkle...I must see this when it blooms. I have the very light pink one, wish I had the red one but yellow..yellow...How yellow is it?

Spikes are so..so very exiting and I love your Hanne Popow. If I am right and this is the pink Phrag oooooooooooooooo lovely.

I can't wait to see it bloom, now I want a yellow one. Mine is very fragrant also, but the color is a little dull. It is going to bloom in spite of me and the poor thing does every year.

The Twinkle is a deep yellow, I bought it from the local Florist in bloom. The tag has no info on it, only Onc. Twinkels (yellow). It's going to be a long time before it blooms.
Last time I was at the flower shop they had a Twinkle called "Lavender Soap", five or six spikes, lavender color and it actually had the smell of Lavender! I wanted it, but didn't know where I would put it, I'm out of spce. Now I could kick myself for leaving it at the shop!

Yes I'll bet but when one runs out of room what do you do. I didn't know they had all those colors. I only new about white, pink and red. My tag only says Onc. Twinkle and doesn't even have a color.

I re-potted the poor thing last March but I am thinking I put it in the wrong mix. And I thought that it needed to dry between watering like a Catt. I am doing much better watering it but the leaves are wrinkly. It is a tough one because it blooms every year for me. I will post a picture when it does. I broke one spike off moving my Phrag and was so mad at myself. It has 4 spikes and one new growth that doesn't have a spike.

You must be doing something right to get that many spikes. My yellow has two new growth and only one is spiking. Hopefully next time around there will be more growth and spikes.
