My favs are any minis that grow well in my orchidarium. I am soooo limited in space that I have turned almost exclusively to minis. Right now I am experimenting with rupiculous Laelias.

They'll do fine in intermediate conditions, they just like a little more humidity and a drier winter. If you can grow Den phalaenopsis you can grow them.
Sue i know that there are plenty of Aussie growers heading over to the WOC, i suggest you email Brian at DUNO and ask him if he's going or if he can give a batch of those plants to someone else to bring over for you. All of the nursery people know eachother and do stuff like that.

Although I do have somewhat limited space, I do have a garden window (small), and another window that I grow orchids in which is located in my home and a small greenhouse in my backyard (8 x 10), I also like some of the miniatures. I have a few bulbophyllums, lockhartias and plerothallis in addition to my larger orchids. I think what I llike about them is that you can find some very different looking plants.

Watch out Ross - those minis are real sneaky before you know it they've taken over. Smaller plants = more plants

Oncidiums are a fave, but just came from WalMart- and they have bagged orchids sometimes worth looking at- made a mistake and saw an Oncidium in spike in that stupid bag took some willpower not to buy it.
That, and I already have 4 various Oncidiums...
