Classic cattleya's. The more floof, the better I like them. I've also never met a Blc Goldenzelle I didn't love.

On the other hand, I guess I should mention Blc Chia Lin 'Debby' AM/AOS. Yep, it's named after me by a very good friend and then won an award on top of that! It's a deep red that sparkles and smells great.....just like me!!!

I didn't pick just one but I did stay in the cattleya genre!

What a nice thing for your friend to do by honoring you with an orchid .. and an award winner at that!

Those are my favorites also - flowering & scent are the icing

Other than that make mine a Pleuro please - anyone that will like my conditions.

OK, NEWBEE here..lol...bear with me I think my favorite would have to be my Maxillaria tenuifolia but I'm considering adding Mediocalcar decoratum to the ever growing "habit"...anyone have any thoughts?

cb977 you like tetragonum also! Have you tried any of the 'hot-cold' breeds coming out recently? I'm not sure how big they are, i guess Hilda Poxon might get too big for you but a lot of the best breeds have tetragonum as a parent.

There's a good writeup of them here

I think Den tetragonum is one of the coolest little 'chids around! Shakkai got one recently too
I haven't tried any of the others you mentioned but I'll surely be checking into them!

Here's a pic of mine:

By the way, I'm Sue
