I know some people have had success with Phals in vases - tho I don't know if roots were submerged or above the aster line ...
I've not had good luck with rootless Phals, so cant give suggestions there.
I have had good results many times with rootless Catts - I just pot them in the smallest possible pot. Old pbulbs will provide resources for the plant until new growth comes along and gets some roots.
Sonya or anyone else, can you find my post (pics) of the cattleya which I posted two years ago which I just wrapped some sphag moss around and hung up on a wire? I think this technique would work here better than bagging it. I don't have any pics from then. My PC died and I lost everything. Thanks.
