Ingrown Spike? Female
Default Ingrown Spike?

I have a Phal. that I bought in bloom last year. It has spent time outside this summer and kept growing new leaves like crazy, but it has just now spiked and is getting ready to bloom now in October! Isn't that strange?

It also looks like it started to spike that grew back into where it started from (pic attached). Does anyone know what this strange growth is?

Thanks!!
