Apparently I use big pots, repotting after (2-3) years and my media(big chunk of perlite, charcoal, stones and tree fern) dry in one day in growing season, is not a problem.

One more thing; dendrobium hard cane is not my love, for dendrobiums my wife tolerate my hobby. I love laelia and cattleya .

I was wrong, it's not peat, it's perlite in my mixture***

I have repotted it into that. No moss, just chc/bark/charcoal/perlite, all big and chunky for proper drainage. I also put two small pieces of styrofoam in the bottom to further assist drainage.

Blame me but I don't like Coco Husk Chips (not easy to control moisture in the pot), for small amount of plants(home growing) good quality of media is better...
