I'm happy that you got your package! Sorry that you lost some, but I'm happy there is more good news then bad.
Some of the plants looked fantastic for what they had been through! A few will need some TLC, but they didn't look that bad to me. The Bulbo. dearei is another story, it does look like a goner, but it worth a try to save.
Wishing you lots of new growth, happy roots and blooms in the near future!

Glad the package was found, sorry for the missing and the poorly plants.
Customs/Dept of Ag is the likely "opener" of the package. Someone might have "forgotten" to replace all the plants back in the box.

I don't know Tommy somehow the looks of the plants kinda makes me feel that they weren't in that good of a condition to begin with.
I'm apologize if I'm wrong, and I may well be. I'm new to this, but...something...
I know some experienced voices will give opinion/suggestions also. Would be interested to know...
Is there anything you can write to the company and show them theses pictures? Maybe they can re-reimburse you or at least send the missing ones? I would tell them!
That box looks sooo flimsy to me!
Anyway, what I would do is hang them in an indirect sun or partly shady area, in pots but almost bare root, so as to prevent rot and then water and watch!
Sort of an intensive care unit Which I'm sure you're doing already anyway!
Wow! I'm sorry you had to go through this sad and frustrating experience!
I can't say as I would order from them. It just doesn't look right to me...
Best of luck. I will be sending healing vibes for those little babies, and you'll see, each and every one will survive and flourish!
Orchid hugs!

Thanks AnonYMouse, I do believe they may have open the package to expect, but whenever I had package opened by customs, they always sealed it back. But you may be right, this one may have been left "unsealed" so no one will know if the plants actually disappeared DURING the check or after the package left customs with this big hole. I guess we will never know;-)

Many thanks Lilac. You are right in some way, but:-) The thing is, I did research and knew that plants ordered from abroad will be anywhere close in the shape with the ones ordered here in the USA. However, the prices were really tempting, as well as the selection - there were many that I just could not find anywhere in the USA. Sellers from abroad must pretty much trip the plants to the minimum of the roots/leaves for the plants to pass the inspections etc.! True is, I did not expect that the Bulbos will be all just divisions freshly cut from mother plants - all of them look exactly like the division I made last week from my Bulbo for someone else - 3 bulbs/leave cuts from mother plants. They were freshly mounted into the wire nets, with some sphagnum underneath, but these are no established divisions like I did buy prior in the USA for sure! However, this being said, we are still talking about pretty low prices where there was no plant in that order that would cost more than $15, many of them much less. So, even with steep postage and certificate cost, calculated per plant, I think I got them all under $20/piece. Would have known they will be like this, I would not order, but there is always your first time, and who does not try will not know. So, with all this, I will do my best and will see, and I will definitely not order abroad again:-) (except Ecuagenera that brings the plants to shows here so I can inspect them prior to payment:-)) I did contact seller, sent pictures, so far no answer so will see if there will be any income from this side:-)

Well the prices are good and as you say many can only be bought from them. I do hope you can save them all!
But, still it's good that they know what is happening to their overseas orders. This way they can use better packaging and/or expedite things in some other way! Maybe another shipping method/company?
I hope they make amends. I would love to see the little missing ones, they seemed to be special for you...

looking at the package itself=everything was in order = the CITES stamp and customs permit numbers and license was all there for anyone to see....I would not be surprised if they didn't even open it.
But some of the plants were sent already dehydrated with mechanical damaged folded leaves starting fungi infestation and some were not the best of its kind....three weeks inside a box will not kill them .... that Bulbophyllum dearie has enough energy in its bulbs to last for a month of draught in situ....they just sent you a dying one and conked out in transit. I suggest you get some of your money back by sending them these pictures you posted.
But the Schoenorchis fragrans and Seidenfadenia mitrata arrived fresh as if nothing happened=that is how its supposed to be arriving to you...all of the plants just like that....

Thanks Bud, it is true, I do not think that all the plants were 100% perfect prior to shipping, but nothing I can do now. I did sent pictures and email the seller however did not get any answer yet.
