What's that blue looking one and was it actually "blue" or blue-purple as usual?

You must have some very large orchid shows if this is a small one.

I was thinking the same thing. My orchid society is having its annual show first weekend in November and we know we are a small show. We have only three judging teams (2 judges per team and one spotter).

I am not sure how many teams are at ours or the ones in the area but the one advertised as the largest in Ohio looks about that size. Sigh.
The area shows here are all in the spring. There was an orchid festival in Pittsburgh but it became a paph festival and I am really not interested in that. I did like paphs but then we have so many speakers about paphs (they are a favorite in my OS), I just am turned off.

Leafmite, I'm in complete agreement with you! We see a lot a paphs here too! I have 5 that I'm getting ready to sell, they grow like weeds for me, but they don't bloom. As I've matured in the hobby, I have discovered some plants just don't fit me as a grower. Paphs are one of those plants.
