Default Brassocattleya Languedoc 'Patrick" info needed

Hi all--

I came across an image of Brassocattleya Languedoc 'Patrick' in the 1988 edition of Simon and Shuster's Guide to Orchids (top of page 41 if anyone is interested). Now, normally I'm not a fan of pink cattleya type orchids (go figure), but I like this one, especially the fringed lip....

So, two questions:

1: Anyone know if it's still out there and available?

2: Parentage? Although it's listed as Brassocattleya, I was wondering if it might have Rhyncholaelia digbyana parentage since R. digbyana at one time was classed as a Brassavola....

Thanks in advance!

Catherine

Cultivar name: Rhyncholaeliocattleya Languedoc (Rlc. Languedoc)
Former name: Brassocattleya Languedoc (Bc.Languedoc)
Parents: Rhyncholaeliocattleya Déesse (Brassocattleya Déesse (Bc. Déesse)) × Cattleya Memoria
Reference Bc. Languedoc
This orchid which was cultivated by Madame Masako Arakawa and displayed at the Orchid Show 2009 in Sunshine City (Tokyo, Japan).

'Patrick' was a name added by the grower who must have selfed it and registered it.

*now it is named Cattleya Languedoc since they have renamed these Cattleya alliance recently.

Thank you Bud! You've given me a lot of good information on the history of this cv and I will hopefully be able to find it and grow it!

I had found other Bc. Languedoc cultivars in my search, but nothing on 'Patrick', so it looks like there may be several named selecions of this grex out there.

It's a really pretty flower--has attributes of both the Rhyncholaelia (or used to be Rhyncholaelia anyways)and Cattleya parents, including the frilled, flared lip of digbyana.

Anyone have any ideas about where I might find one for sale??

You might try Hauserma, as they have produced a cross with Bob Betts, named Pink Marvel

Actually Bud, your first stated name was correct...it's Rhyncholaeliocattleya (Rlc). The digbyana is Rhyncholaelia...not Cattleya.
