My Phal recently starting putting out nub and i'm not sure if it's a root or a spike. It seems much bigger than the previous roots I've see, but it's lacking that mitten shape that spikes get. I've attached a picture. The nub I'm talking about is the one on the right. I know the one in front is a root. Thoughts?

Right now, to me it looks like a root too.

Update! The keiki Is FINALLY sending out a root....and a new leaf. This keiki started out like a year and a half ago! Just noticed it today when I watered it.

Thanks! It's better than starting a new thread every time...and its like a timeline I can refer back to so I know when certain things happened. Lol. :-)
