^yep, as Tucker said, they are perfectly fine bare root... I've also had orchids sitting around waiting to be potted, b/c I didn't have this, or that, or the time to finish potting them up.... And then I may have, just maybe... *shifty eyed, trying to look all innocent-like*
gotten lazy about putting back into a pot...
and with a good
misting every now and then, they are perfectly happy.. Sometimes I just stick them in an empty pot, so they don't fall, or blow off my potting table on my porch, with no media in the pot what-so-ever... They grow roots, start/grow leaves, and are happy until I get around to potting them up
(I use this treatment (on purpose) for "rescue" Phals from big box stores)
