Default Common Problems

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I am wondering if there are any problems that you all come across that common knowledge of orchids nor websites have the answers to? Just trying to find a common problem that orchid growers run into and maybe the possibility of coming up with something that can help everyone out. Thanks!!

Common problems have answers. Those that don't aren't common and probably just don't have enough data.

You aren't getting much response to your query because we don't quite know what you are asking.

Sorry for not being descriptive enough. I am just trying to find a problem that orchid growers come across that there isn't a common way to fix. And if you guys cannot come up with any than that is totally fine I just thought I would see if there were some pains in orchid growing that no one has found an actually way or remedy to fix yet. Thanks

Still too vague.

We have common problems growing orchids. Just that the solutions are individual based on our environment (temps, RH, light, indoor/outdoor/greenhouse, etc.), particular plants, preferred growing media and our habits.

If you can stamp out root rot for everyone, more power to you.

Next issue is that we all live in different climates and that creates a slight issue, because what helps someone in Washington may not be of help to someone in Texas..Does that make sense?

Over and under watering.
Using a skewer in the media is extremely helpful!

Orchid grows well, but doesn't bloom. Presuming it's bloom size, and it's been at least a year - more light is often the "fix".
