sigh... I miss thanksgiving. Back when i lived in the US, we would spend the 4 day weekend at with my godmother and her family. She made the BEST pumpkin pie and always had a giant turkey so big that it barely fit in the oven!
Dinner tonight was chicken (turkey is hard to find outside of christmas) cranberry sauce, chestnut purée, french cheese and pumpkin pie. Very traditional apart from the cheese!

Happy Thanksgiving to all on the OB!!!
I'm thankful for your help with about half of my 'nearly homeless' orchids. The 'chids have gone to live in new homes in 22 states including Hawaii! Some are invited to
visit Europe and even Australia. (Don't have the means or a contact to facilitate such travel.)
It's the economy, stupid... as they say. No one to blame... just the way it is. Took my livelihood. Then my home. "It'll get better again in late '09" or 2010!
So the page is turning. Moving on. Dismantling the GH Friday. But first...
Let's have some turkey... I feel a nap coming on. :~}
In spite of the times, I am thankful for friends and family where I experience the richness of life. 'N the sweet orchids.
