Water Pelletts

Has anyone added some of those tiny colored water pellets that absorb water and get the size of marbles to their potting mixture.

Someone tried the full monty on orchidgeek, he was happy after some months but we have no news since (3-4 months).

Years ago... Main problem seemed to be that they expand and contract so much that they basically work the plants right out of the pots. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but never really lived up to expectations.
