I used to have a mexican red leg named Peter Parker when I was a kid, but I can't say I can appreciate a bunch of spiderlings all over my coffee table where I grow my orchids.

Paul, why does he/she have those shiny black places at the top of its legs? They almost look like his/her eyes... Sorry, I don't remember the proper anatomy of a spider

@kindrag...they hiss??

spiders are cool....I worked for Marriott long ago and got a call about 3 am that some lady was hysterical that a spider was loose in her room. Im like yeah little spider okey I be right up and remove the spider. I got to the room the woman is on top of the bed with the sheets wrapped around her feet bundled up with pillows. Hee Hee okey wheres the spider? She pointed to under the bed as she couldnt talk. I get down pick up the spread and in about 2 secs flat I was up on on the bed looking for cover too!!! Holy cow...It was a pet dinner plate tarantula that escaped from the owner who last stayed in the room..
..
So remember next time you stay in a hotel check under the beds 1st before you wake up with one wrapped around your neck trying to get warm

@ I would become a Super Ninja!!
I have to admit, I'm not fond of those things either. Having a "pet" spider would never enter my mind and I feel the same way about snakes. As long as they keep their distance they're ok.
Wasn't there a song once that started off with: "I don't like spiders and snakes..."

OMG OMFREAKINGG sweet baby jesus, saint mary and all saints combined!!! I will be having nightmares for a week thanks!!! Wait it was ON HER!! O MY GOD!!
I have a yellow and black garden spider named Charlotte on my back porch who does not bother me. Brown Jumping Spiders? Yeah those are Spider Wasp and Dirt Dobber fodder and my dogs from time to time. Tarantulas are the only things that truly freak me out this badly.
