What type of care would masdevallia or dracula require? They really interest me and would like to own one or two. . Or three or four. . .etc ha, one of these days

Where exactly do you live? Are you looking to grow them indoors, or outdoors? Different ones have different requirements. Some grower much cooler than others, temperature wise. They like about the same amount of light as Phals and grow a bit wetter than Phaps.

I live in western wa and it would be indoors. I dont think our weather would work for outdoors ha unless its a greenhouse

Greetings - I'm originally from Everett :-) Yes, too cold there.

You could try a Masdevallia indoor if you gave it a fair bit of light. The hybrids with the thicker leaves are the ones you would want to try. I have a Masd. Dean Haas that is doing really well under my lights in San Francisco. I have five or so indoors and that's the one doing the best.
