I am closer to Akron/Cleveland/Pittsburgh...that part of Ohio.

Joyorchid, I had to laugh. I was terribly pressed for space and ended up buying a bunch of new orchids last month. I now have a cattleya that I need to give away!

@Leafmite I would gladly trade you one cattleya for one of my flask babies here in a month once I see they have become full fledged happy seedlings.

Eventually, no matter how much space one has, it eventually gets filled. First, I made space by giving away houseplants that bored me. Then I began using shelves. I expanded to other rooms. Last year, I bought wire hangers. This year, more shelves and placed many plants near the last windows available.
I grow more than just orchids, though, and some plants have large pots and grow taller/wider each year...taking more space.i

I am considering growing orchids in my shower stall! Hey, what can I say? It has a big frosted glass window and high humidity. Sounds ideal to me!

I thought about going as several of our society are going but the youngest kid has something and, even if the kids have their doubts, they do come before the plants.
The shower seems like a great place. I will take&post pictures of a few of my windows so you can see....
