That is very cute. My spouse tolerates the orchids but I can't imagine that he'd ever bring home any plant for me.
Oncidiums do wonderfully in red lava rock. I have saved quite a few. I grow mini oncidiums now, still in lava rock.
Columbus has a really nice orchid society that has had speakers that I wish our society invited to speak. If you need any help with your orchids, that is a great place to go...you don't need to be a member to attend a meeting or two.

I was in Columbus once when my Aunt and Uncle lived there in I believe the 70's. Now I go no where.

I have been to Wyoming, many, many years ago. Saw the cave dwellings/paintings, sage brush, and the unbelievable vastness. It is quite an incredible place. We don't travel much now, either. Too busy.

My justaddice orchid came with the same little inner lining and had healthy roots. I think they are making an effort.

All the ones I looked at of at least these mini's have looked good. I wonder if they are selling faster because they are small and so they are not there long. I really have to get the yellow/orange one re-potted but it still has one bloom on it so I have waited. I do have pots and mix all ready for them when it's time.

I have had a hard time not getting more of them they are so cute. What color did you get? If it is still in bloom post a picture or if you took one. I am wondering all the colors they come in. I have seen several.

My little phal's blossoms were nearly gone when I bought it after Mother's Day but it is in double spike now so I will post pictures when it blooms.
I don't usually buy noID orchids but these are very cute and I absolutely couldn't resist.
Joyorchid, I wasn't going to buy more orchids because I am out of room and, this summer, I ended up buying a few anyway. I still can't figure out where I am going to put one of my cattleyas, now!
