I FOUND IT!
Default I FOUND IT!

Thanks to everyone that gave me suggestions on finding Masdevallia amanda! I found one thorough Andy's Orchids, and to boot, it's going to flower soon! Now, I just need help setting up the perfect terrarium....... he gave me his number and told me to call him to make sure that I can give this orchid what it needs. What does it need? Does anyone have any information on these orchids? I really don't know a whole lot about them, I'm thinking definately a tank with a small fan and a mister system (that I am gonna build), but what else do y'all think?

Hi; Masdevallias as a rule need shady,cool-intermediate temps.with good air circulation, good humidity and a fresh
medium to grow in.They will drop their leaves if overwatered and their media rots.
Even though I havent grown M.amanda,I know it needs all of the above.
It should do well in a ventilated terrarium, just give it good light and air circulation.
Good luck.

Default what are the light requirements?

Should I put a grow bulb over this? I thought I read that masdevallias (atleast most) are low to medium light?

THanks

I would say med.light is more correct.
Most Masd. will grow nicely under a two tube fluorescent set up.
