Default Humidity Tray and More light q

I just got a Wire Rack for my plants, I'm looking for a simple tray that I can put some eggcrate on. Anybody have a good link to a store that sells stuff like that? My rack is 18" Deep and 4' wide. Also I have some plants that need more light than others. Any suggestions for getting the plants closer to the light? Thanks.

I don't know if this will help you out or not but heres a link to the place where I purchased my humidity trays.
Kelley's Korner Orchid Supplies ~ Gro-Pro Trays That will actually help raise your orchids up a couple inches so it may help with the light issue as well. I've seen people use empty pots, tupperware, etc to raise them up as well. You could even use low, rectagular plastic storage boxes as humidity trays too. Just place the eggcrate on top. Good luck!

Photographic darkroom trays are also good - I used these for years. Try Paterson Developing Tray, 16x20": Porter's Camera Store: digital cameras, film camera and photography accessories This is what I used till I had a custom one made.

Also check out Orchids and Orchid Supplies they have some orchidarium stuff you can order (without buying the entire orchidarium). Good luck!

What about simple nursery flats? The ones without the drainage holes. They're about 12 x 22, your could run 4 side by side running the length front to back on your shelves.

You can get them at any Ace/Do-it/Truevalue hardware store cheap, or, if you ask at a greenhouse or garden center, you can usually get them free since they only throw them away.

Cheers.

I don't have a cat, put I saw and bought two kitty litter trays, its quite large 12cm deep, 45cm by 30cm and cheap at $2.50 aussie each.

I also had some expanded clay pellets so I use that as base about three pellets deep. Seems to soak up the water and increase humidity more then rocks.

Also I just got some cheap oven/stove grill trays for $3 that seems to fit in the tray to even out the pellts and give the pots a even surface to sit on.

Works a treat.

According to to my Hygrometer ($7 on ebay) it is 80% humidity.

Not sure if that helps since I'm a newbie but thats what I thought of.
