Someone can fact check me on this, as I'm still pretty new, but I understood that if a phal's leaves get darker than a yellowish green, the phal is probably not getting enough light. I moved one of my phals from the bookshelf below the window, to my desk to get it a bit more light when the leaves went from a yellow green, to more of an evergreen color.
Also, the roots look really white, is that just the picture, or is the color pretty accurate? If so, then I'd say you need to water a little more frequently. Where I live, bark dries out REALLY fast, so I rely on the root color to tell me if my orchids need water or not. If the roots look like freshly cooked green beans, they're plenty hydrated. If they're silvery to white, time to water.
