Default New Growth on NOID Dendrobium

I have a NOID Dendrobium that has a new growth off the tip of one of the older canes, I misplaced the tag, as soon as it blooms I will know what it is since the tag is in a pile. This is a den. from bill_asia on ebay.....and I don't know why I have hung onto it this long since it has been a constant struggle to keep it alive, it has one new growth, but very few roots, although new roots are trying their best to grow. I just noticed this yesterday and wasn't sure what the new growth is, can anyone help me?

These photo's are of the same cane, just different angles:

That will probably become a keiki. Let it grow and when the roots are 2-3 inches, carefully remove it and pot it. You'll have a new plant

I didn't think that was a normal growth so I had my suspicions......woohoo a keiki! It will be my first! I bet I can get it to bloom before the mother plant gets back to good health!
