Default Meaning of BLC and EID
Hello, I have owned orchids for 5 days. Some of my orchids are marked BLC some EID. What do these initials mean and what are the implications for plant care?

Blc = Brassolaeliocattleya = Brassavola x Laelia x Cattleya (it is an intergeneric hybrid)

I've never seen the abbreviation Eid. Are you sure it isn't Epi?

Epi = Epidendrum

I've not seen EDI either, like Philip I would guess it's meant to be Epi.
