Hi all! I am definitely a beginner, and I love this forum. I got this guy just a month ago in Hawaii and I am trying my best to care for it and it seems to be doing ok. There are a few black spots on one of the sets of leaves but they aren't getting any worse. Anyway, I wanted to show you the roots coming out of a stalk that looks different than the bulbs. Is it making a keiki (implying that maybe it is unhappy?) Or is this what it looks like when it flowers? Hmmm.

PS: It doesn't usually sit so close to the vent, this was just the best place to photograph it.
