Hello

so here is my Orchid that has no ID.
I Bought this plant few years ago for my mothers birthday. and this year she gave mi a division.
I have no idea what is it. Some Brassia hybrid perhaps? it has a nice spicy smell. She has 3 spikes now and all of them carry 3 buds. And as far as i know, there are never more than 3.
I have included some photos.

regards Gregor

I looked on google for Beallara and i have to say it looks very much alike

i would go for the Beallara tropic splendor. I hope someone can confirm this

Difficult to tell beyond Brassidium or a Brassia based hybrid… But it'll tell enough for you to care of it.

Yes this is another question. How to take care of it?
I have it for a few months. I watter it when its completely dry. but i noticed that the bulbs are shriveling too much. i think it needs more watter. But i dont know if she can stay more on the wet side?

Is it in soil??

If so, that's the first clue as to why the bulbs are shriveling. It needs to be in a coarse bark mix, it's easy to find at any Lowe's or Home Depot, just probably avoid the Miracle Grow kind unless it's the coarse mixture. Repot in bark asap and check the roots for any rot while you're at it.

no it is potted in a orchid mix that i bought in store. It is meant for all types of orchids. but it looks a bit too fine if you know what i mean? I think it should be more coarse ( bigger particles.

I think that the problem is in pot hight. I have a problem because the top of the soil is bone dry and the bottom still wet. i think i should put som LECA (SH media) on the bottom of the pot and the mix on top of it. but i dont want to repot it now because it's in flower.
