Default Somebody must have done this before

I recently got my first named phalaenopsis. I've only had NoIDs up to now. In the the phal bunch of my last shopping spree there is a flowering Phalaenopsis violacea v. coerulea.

Now, I'm looking at this adorable lilac flower with the nice fragrance and all and then I'm glancing towards my still flowering white NoID phal and I'm thinking that the outcome of those two should be a nice flower.

Somebody must have, surely, made hybrid crosses with Phalaenopsis violacea v. coerulea and a plain white phal before.

Does anybody have pictures or links where I can see the results? The most important question is obviously if the lilac colour will be carried over. Because that would just be amazing...

There is a list @ phals.net showing primary hybrids of violacea. Scroll down the page. Listed are amabilis (Harriettae), philippinensis (Phurpleferri) and aphrodite (Memoria Laela). Probably others have switched pod/pollen with different results. The site does not indicate what, if any, var. was used.

(There is a pics page of the hybrids but less than half are pictured.)

Edit: to clarify

unless you want to spend an average of 5 years to pollinate the flowers then wait for the pods to open then flask it....then grow it from seedlings.....I think you are better off finding a blooming sized hybrid plant of a violacea maybe crossbred with a philippinensis....you end up with a fragrant flower with lovely speckled leaves....and it gets the shade of lavender or pink somewhere and a very interesting lip.

I think that might be exactly what I want to do. Or a combination of both. I'm not against buying mature plants, not at all,but I have time and I find the whole project of growing orchids from seeds quite interesting, even if I'm just in the starting block.

But I'm also thinking that perhaps the lilac coloring is lost in the hybrids quite easily. Otherwise, I would think that lilac tinted NoIDs would be more common since it's such an 'exclusive' orchid colour and relatively rare.
