Between 55 F - 85 F.

90 F is the warmest I'd go. No warmer or they will show signs of suffering big time.

What is reasonably comfortable to humans, basically.

Temperature extremes are not tolerated well at all.

I will also add, that when watering, be very careful to not get the new growths wet, they do rot fairly easily if u get them wet... I learned that they hard way the first time I tried to grow one... But now, I have a few, and they are really very easy growers with good culture (which should be practiced anyways). I have been successful with one of them in S/H culture, even re-bloomed it in S/H, if you wanted to try that... Also have some doing beautifully (also re-blooming), in coarse bark as well.

...they are not a rare species tho, as far as I know. Dont know if you got that from eBay, b/c I've noticed a lot of sellers claim that about *every* species they sell

I'm curious as to how your riograndensis is doing. I just got mine last week, and it had a nice big bud on it, which is now dying. The info I found on it says to keep it shady and cool. Have you had any luck with yours, and if so, what did you do?

I desribed what I have seen here
http://www.orchidboard.com/community...mherstiae.html

A successful grower told me that Promeneas dislike to dry out too much between watering.
