I bought a bubbler so the water would not get turgid. I have been holding steady between 70-80F and 40-70 % humidity. Now I have to find out the light levels. I DID listen to the person who said that the "salvage" big box store Phals are really horrible and I did go out and get a new one this time with good roots.

I am a beginner, and really am looking for the right combination. I am looking at a phal only tank plus some other plants. I may , in the future get other types but that is dependent on what happens now.

Which ever light you be, be sure it is a whole light spectrum bulb. Grow lux makes one but there are others. A florescent fixture with a grow lux bulb might be your least expensive way to go.
