BAH! TOMMY...can you give us some tips on how to make loved ones more open to this amount of orchids?

How does your husband do with it all? Again I only have around 20 now and even with getting rid of 5 LARGE plants they are telling me enough....and all but the up and coming orchids are tiny....for now...
They also are telling me at some point I will be on hoarders "plant edition"

I swear I offered my 25+ year old aloe vera plant, and all anybody wanted wanted was my African Lavendar which is under no circumstances for sale or give away!!!!! That is the only one I have ever found or seen since and it is not going anywhere.!!!

He was really fine till this summer when I change balcony to orchid growing balcony and due to the re positioning of the plants to other side where there is much more sun, and also when he saw every week boxes and boxes with my new plants and me being at the balcony for hours a day. He has no idea how much money it was also. He knows it makes me extremely happy and he calls it "CHALLENGE" for me, meaning he knows I am challenging myself this year to take "PROPER" care for each and every one, and make them thrive and bloom - therefor my ICE treatment every night for masdevallias and dracula, my watering and misting every day etc. He also see quite often a butterfly flying at the balcony around the orchids - and he believes (as I do), that it is my daddy (he passed away a years ago from the cancer). We have also 3 lizards living at our jungle which he enjoys to watch from the sofa how they try to catch the flies and bees, and it is like discovery:-) So, in some ways, there is huge tolerance even the fact he does not like plants. He knows it makes me happy, and he always says what makes you happy is OK! But I did promise this week that except the orders on the way this is IT for now, and I will try my best to stick to this promise!

BTW African Lavender is amazing plant, I WOULD NEVER EVER give it away as well - I always always always loved and adored the fields of lavender when being in Provence! It was my pleasure every time being there, just to walk in them and take pics of them!

My hubby is already suggesting sites for a greenhouse. I think he believes we're going to be overrun by greenery when he surveys the potted plants on the deck and the orchids in the house. ^_^

Yes, I've been bitten. I'm fighting the symptoms, but fear it's a lost cause.

True, haven't been in Starbucks for months - but than I have to admit we have profi restaurant Lavazza espresso machine at home, so who wants Starbucks now:-)) However I am always running out of the clear pots and I saw some pictures here when people uses those plastic big Starbucks cups with made holes, interesting, God I wish I though about it before when we had every day like 4!
