First orchid, need help :/
I have a phaleanopsis and it's my first orchid. Idk what to do, the leaves are a bit wrinkly, and her blooms are starting to wilt. She has 2 roots coming in, and I cut the brown roots off today, the leaves look better today since I watered her yesterday. What to do??

What type of potting media do you use?
How Often do you water?
How much light does it get.
What type of fertilizer do you use?
What type of potting media is it that you use.
And when you say water can you define that? Like do you give it a good soak for 15-20 min once every few days or when barely damp?
Basic questions lol sorry.
But it is very beautiful

I water it once a week, but I forgot to on Saturday, so I watered it Sunday. I usually water it with a water bottle amount and let it drain, then I feed it twice a month by soaking it for 10-15 minutes then I let it drain. I use the "Gubbler orchid grow mix"- fine grade for phaleanopsis. I also put stones on top so the bark can stay damp. She gets filtered sunlight all day, but never direct. She isn't too close to the window. I also mist her to keep her humid. Should I get a smaller pot?

Maybe, I know that even my biggest one is in a smaller pot. I had one just like the pot you are using and it was to big and my plants got root rot.
I have been told to do weakly weekly, so if per say your fertilizer calls for a tbs for one gallon just use a fourth of a tablespoon (1/2 tsp range)
Orchids like to be tight but not to tight in their pots, I would try perhaps a 4.5 terracotta pot and just drill holes all over it.
I use a 3/4 in masonry drill bit after soaking the little pots for about 15 min. It helps make the drilling faster and helps with the drilling. my drill bit cost $2.00.
When you say you cut the brown roots off were they mushy icky? dead looking.

Don't use the fine mix. Use the coarse mix.
There is probably some root damage going on. Check the roots again.
Remove the spike completely.
You may need to down pot.

Also use clean pruning sheers. You can wipe them down with hydrogen peroxide. Then when through cutting dab with a bit of cinnamon it helps block out any infection that may try and set in.
And listen to @KOOG he has helped me many times. Good luck and good job finding the board. You will see that this beautiful orchid will pop back up.

The roots weren't mushy, they were brown and peeling, there were two like that. They looked dead. I will go get a smaller pot, and get coarse grade potting mix. I was a fraud to get the coarse mix, since it didn't say phaleanopsis on it. Could I just get a small pot with the holey patterns on it?
