whats wrong w my den.
This is the mother den. I noticed that one of the leaves started turning yellow the other day. Then there were 2. The pb is fat and healthy I am not sure whats wrong and don't want to infect my other orchids.

I'm far from being a dendrobium expert, in fact, I struggle to grow them and usually end up in a similar situation. The plants drop their leaves like this, sometimes but not always after developing the brown spots.
I've always been told its because I need to increase light and air flow, but attempts to do that never seem to be extremely effective.
As you may or may not be aware there are deciduous dendrobiums, the most common are the nobile types, but looking at your photos, I'm not convinced yours is in that group. It looks more like one of the evergreen types, possibly from the dendrobium phalaenopsis group.
I'm going to keep my eyes on this thread, hopefully someone here with more knowledge can chime in with some good advice.

its supposed to be a "to my kids" dendrobium nobile type. I have had it on my porch where it gets a nice bit of sun and a nice bit of a breeze during the day.

and I just moved it inside to get it away from my other orchids to make sure that what ever the heck it has does not spread to my phals.

Is it just foliage on matured canes? This is the time of year they may start dropping leaves ...

Yes only on the mature cane, I have it quarantined just in case, In my South West facing window so that it gets plenty of light. I cut off the what looks to be infected to leaves and doctored with a dash of cinnamon to keep it clean. I also used sanitized and Hot pruning scissors. That I over sanitized. Better safe than Sorry.
The small keiki it had that was completely detached is doing very well an happy....I am not sure what is the problem.

There may not be anything wrong with your Den nobile.
It may be in the process of getting ready for its winter dormancy, which starts in November.

Yes, as Philip said
... which was why I asked if it was only the leaves on matured canes. Mine is now starting to drop some leaves from the matured canes from last year.

i would suggest looking at the roots, you are in tx & should be watering alot. I also see alot of leca/clay pellets, not too good for dry climates in grow season in my opinion. being tx even for dends maybe more moisture retentive media?

also i have found that the clay pellets grab minerals from tap water and salt from feritlizer then bam kill the roots.
