Default Mini Phal plastic pot- where to buy that size?

Anyone know where to buy the like 1.5"ISH diameter clear plastic pots?

I need to repot a couple minis and what they were purchased in won't do.

Also don't want to have to buy like a pack of 50 or spend $10 in shipping.

Thanks!

I'm unsure about where you can purchase the pots, but I have a few ideas for you if you don't want to spend a lot. Yogurt cups work wonderfully, punch a few holes in them, I put about 5 holes on the bottom and some on the sides. There are even some brands of yogurt that you can buy in clear containers and they have a nice shape, in my opinion. The next option is the dollar tree (at least the one buy me) has very small clear plastic (non-brittle type) containers in 10 packs, drill a couple holes in those puppies and you're ready to go!! Hope this helps!

I agree with the above or maybe Even checking walmart they sometime have small terra cotta pots. That I put my young den sprout in. I totally get the ten dollar shipping. You can also check amazon. That way if you need other things you could get free shipping.

You could also check out Snack Pack or Jello cups. Pretty good excuse to have to eat pudding, I'd say

Ah yes.... I like this. I hadn't thought of yogurt and jello cups... I don't know if they'll be deep enough though. This particular one probably has some bad roots (just bought it and it was in the sale section), so maybe it wouldn't have enough good roots for space to be a problem.
I had thought maybe plastic drinking cups but they are the hard kind of plastic that splits with any pressure usually.
I'll look around at different "repurposing" options.

My other two current phals are in plastic pots and then set in heavier more decorative clay pots.
I don't have a heavy pot for this new one yet. Any ideas for making it so the pot doesn't tip over from beig top heavy? If I buy a bigger decorative pot, would it look weird if the plastic cup isn't the correct size to fit in there just right? Maybe people do that a lot. I'm just still new to this.
I know I don't "have" to have a decorative pot, but just need something to balance it.
Now I'm just rambling.

Thanks for the ideas!!

Thumbs up

I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of cheap transparent containers, different sizes and drilled holes all over them. Work the best.

If your pot it top heavy you can put lava rock, shells or pebbles on the bottom of the pot to balance the weight (really anything that isn't dangerous to the plant would work).

Muller has frutUp yogurt mousse that is in clear containers. There is about a 3 inch opening at the top and it's about 3.25 inches tall. And in my region they're putting out coupons for them like crazy, I picked them up for $.50 a piece today. The bonus is they're good.

I saw some small clear plastic "cups" for mini-tastings at a party supply store. Larger than shot glasses, smaller than small solo cups. I think they might be the crackable plastic so you would have to melt holes into them.

I just repotted my new mini phal in a pudding cup last night. I feel bad for the poor little thing. I've had it for a week and the blooms have already dropped off. Roots looked pretty good in spite of being packed really, really densely in moss.

I also ended up using a tacky tea cup that we got at some restaurant years ago that we had laying in the back of a cabinet, in lieu of a decorative pot, because I couldn't find anything appropriate that was small enough to hide the pudding cup with! I just used some glass gems to balance the pudding cup inside the teacup.

Can't say that it will work out in the long term, but it wasn't that bad to do at all.
