I also ended up using a tacky tea cup that we got at some restaurant years ago that we had laying in the back of a cabinet, in lieu of a decorative pot, because I couldn't find anything appropriate that was small enough to hide the pudding cup with! I just used some glass gems to balance the pudding cup inside the teacup.
Can't say that it will work out in the long term, but it wasn't that bad to do at all.

Did you cut holes in the pudding cup?

I'm not sure if they charge allot of shipping or if they have the right size for your plants, but repottme.com is a excellent vendor for potting materials. Check it out it might be a good option for you.

I cut slots in the pudding cup instead of punching holes in it, because the plastic on the pudding cup was thin. I just took an exacto knife to the plastic and ten minutes later, I had a DIY slotted orchid pot. I did cut a couple of holes in the bottom and it seemed to drain pretty well when I did a test run with it.
In fact, if I had it to do again, I'd definitely do the test run again too. The cups are so small that it doesn't take a lot of the potting media to do it, and that way, you can cut more slots as you need them or add more holes to the bottom so you can be sure of good drainage.

You might want to check your local orchid nursery if there are any in your area.
I'm in N.C. as well. I like to pick up my transparent pots at The Orchid Trail in Morrisville. I could order them online, but they have a good selection of sizes and more importantly it gives me a "reason" to stop in regularly and see what's currently in bloom. Plus, it's only 20 minutes away, so it's not like it's a big trip for me.

There's a place called BB Barns near me. It's a "Garden Center."
They didn't carry the size I'd like, but they sell stuff in that size so they receive orchid from where ever in the kind of pot I want.
They had their orchid "specialist" I could try to contact there.

I did it! Bought a couple FrutUp yogurts and made one into a make-shift pot.
My husband enjoyed the Strawberry one tonight if anyone cares to try these yogurts
Below should be a couple pix.
I just drop-potted for now because it's still ending bloom.
Looked like it had a couple good roots, but most are dead or rotting. It has a possible basal keiki (I'm like 90% sure that's what it is), but I'm hoping I can keep it alive. I know those kind of keikis usually mean mommy is dying....
anyway, I is excitededed!! ;P
Thanks guys!

How thick was the plastic on those cups and how hard was it to punch the holes in it? I've been thinking about trying that yogurt! It looks tasty!
I'm thinking I might just become addicted to mini phals... they are so adorable! They take up less space so you could have an extensive "garden" on a window sill!

I know this was mentioned by others, but if you are open to small clay/terracotta pots I recommend looking in a craft store. Michaels, AC Moore, and Hobby Lobby usually have them for low cost, plus you can often find coupons to use.
