Do I need to feed? I haven't over the winter months, since replanting. We are doing so well, I didn't want to upset the balance. I can wait as long as I am still doing the right things!

You don't need to fertilize them for awhile. They have enough food in the media and in their tissues to last them a long time. They don't feed much in nature.

Well, it seems the orchid is doing better, but really? Not sure. We now have two flower spikes and one blossom. Only one. The leaf on the bottom most part of the plant, on the right side is declining. Tell me what you think?

Phals store there starches and sugars in their leaves and roots so when they use it that leaf slowly loses it's chlorophyll and turns yellow. This is natural. Were there more flowers originally? One flower on a recovering plant is not unusual.

The plant itself looks fine.

As was mentioned, the lower leaf is most likely dying back naturally due to old age.

The flower count I'm not too sure about…

Do you remember roughly how many flowers the plant had when you first purchased it, (assuming that you bought the plant in bloom, of course)?

If it was supposed to have more flowers per spike, then there needs to be an adjustment made to the culture.

How often do you water the plant?

What's the humidity like?

How often do you fertilize, what is the N-P-K ratio of the fertilizer, and what is the concentration of fertilizer you use?

Has there been any kind of drastic temperature changes or wildly fluctuating temperatures while the buds were developing?
