Oh! What a day I had. Today was errounds day, first the farmers market, then the grocery store, costco, and the hardware store (not in that order). And to my luck they all had NOID or UFO's calling my name. Alas! I walked a way with only the contents of my shopping list, my wallet survived b/c of the mantra "look away...look away, you will get a non noid another day"!.
Then this afternoon, I walked out to my balcony to recharged my energies after the orchid attack I endured through out the day, and saw one of 3 orchids that I being nursing for the last 3 years.
the story goes...a little over 3 years my then neighbor and I shared a balcony. I had most of my plants there and about 5 orchids in a shelf on the shaded side. During one of the long weekends, I went away, and she took it up on her self to
"water" my orchids every day and move them to let them get some "sun"
. When I got back, well you can guess what happen next
. (She has then moved and I moved my plants away from any common area).
But the story does have a happy ending of the 5, 3 survived and I being nursing 2 orchids and this one, although still having a hard time, she is thanking me with small bud, for the first time in 3 years!
So she is a survivor and I think I'm getting the hang of this orchid care thing
Will share a picture with you when the bud opens all the way.
