A little rant here.....
Most everyone here on Orchidboard love to help you grow the best orchids you can. Advice is freely given. But my pet peeve is few folks tell us where they live. NY? Cal? Nebraska? Florida? Antarctica? It helps to know. Thanks for listening. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Oh, have I ever tried to get it out of people in the past.
Getting this piece of info was not necessarily the easiest thing to do...
I've practically given up on getting this piece of info.
Just sayin'.

Or, steal them. I've met some people who are pretty covetous about orchids!

I agree; it helps a lot to know whether their experience is likely to be your experience. I hate that I can't see that info on Tapatalk, because I mostly read the forum on my phone during the bus commute or winding down for the night lying in bed.

It makes a difference because what is done for an orchid in Minnesota is much different than in say Eastern Washington. Summers are the same but the winters are ferocious in eastern Washington. And south Florida is much different in winter than north Florida. NoCal and SoCal are much different in winter but same in summer. Humidity is so much different on one side of the Apps than the other and Texas!!!!! Sheesh! We won't go there!!! Just sayin'.

Humorously, perhaps, we can use this thread for some little "venting" and ask each other NICELY to help us all with some... little things.
Mine is... could some folks PLEASE and THANK YOU kindly hit the ENTER key when typing once in a while, so that it would be easier to read??
This is a good example of what I mean.

This is a good example of what I consider really HARD ON ONE'S EYES (a solid block of text.)

You can look at the user's profile in tapatalk - if they have included their location, it will be there. Press and hold on the post, choose "more", then "profile"
