I'd love to see more of the plant. There is more growth potential here than meets the eye. Peel off that old sheath material. Let us see how many growth eyes/buds/new shoots may be hiding under there. Use tweezers to do it. No scientific proof here but I think that, just as in terrestrial plants, if you peel away the sheath material the potential growth bud tissues can see the light which triggers development. The most important part of this plant ( I rescue orchids for fun) is the area along the rhizome or the bases of the pbulbs.

Could have used a smaller pot. No big now. Don't water it to death. That is the biggest mistake made by most people. Water it, feel how heavy the pot is, let it dry completely, feel how light the pot is, then water the crud out of it. Let it dry competely. It could use more light. Leaves are a little too dark. The only part of this plant that is really important are those new growths. There are two more there too. Look carefully. Feed it weakly, weekly. Ray has some great info on the subject. I swear by kelp root additives. Made a difference in some of my catts. After decades of growing orchids even I can learn something new. Thanks to Ray, Tucker, and a host of others here. Thanks. And good water. Low TDS even if ya have to buy it. Makes so much difference. Keep me informed please. I'd like to see this plant flower for ya. When you repot it next year cut off that small one turning yellow now. Don't do like me. I try to save every last piece no matter how small or rotten. Good luck.

Thanks James for all the info. I did wonder about the pot size when i got it but figured I'd leave it alone until repotting time.Far as light I been keeping it outside but just moved it back indoors so it could dry out seem everyday has been raining and overcast. I'll keep you posted.
