It looks fine to me. I like the fact that you used a small pot. That's very important. I don't see any black rot. The few little spots might be leaf spotting fungus that won't hurt the plant. The pseudo-bulbs look dehydrated but that happens in even the best grown cattleyas. Once they get dehydrated like that it's often impossible to get them to plump up, so don't worry about it. When you water the plant, put it in the sink and water it really well. Then let the mix get good and dry and stay dry for a day or two before watering well again. Fertilize once a week. Good luck.
