Default is my cattleya doing okay?

I originally had 2 catts but I lost one to black rot that it had when I first got it. I am wanting to make sure that this one is doing okay I noticed a really dark spot on one of the leaves and was concerned. I also just recently repotted it into a smaller pot, I cleaned off the dead roots and dabbed cinnamon on it to make sure that it would not get infected.

Will post pics on next post is not allowing me to post pics....

It looks fine to me. I like the fact that you used a small pot. That's very important. I don't see any black rot. The few little spots might be leaf spotting fungus that won't hurt the plant. The pseudo-bulbs look dehydrated but that happens in even the best grown cattleyas. Once they get dehydrated like that it's often impossible to get them to plump up, so don't worry about it. When you water the plant, put it in the sink and water it really well. Then let the mix get good and dry and stay dry for a day or two before watering well again. Fertilize once a week. Good luck.

Default will my catt be ok?

Thank you so much! After losing my other one right off the bat I was afraid of this one being sick as well since they came in the same box. I am so glad to hear that this one looks okay. Yeah I had him in a much larger pot but I was afraid of root rot. Thanks for the info on fertilizing every week. I have been doing about ever 4th watering.
