Wow it is so amazingly beautiful! Great job! I'm really hoping Santa will bring me some T5 lights so I can test light levels with my orchids. I know for sure my Angraecum Magdalenae would benefit from constant light.

Thanks!
I went back and looked at some pictures of plants I bought much earlier this year and then grew them under the lights. I'm soooo amazed, really. I have plants that other people have been unable to bloom that go under my lights and poof! There is a sheath/spike. Anyway, tell Santa you have been good and you will bring more joy into the world if you have T5 lights!!!!

I think Santa is worried I'll bring more plants into the house with a more established setup which I probably will. Christmas can't come soon enough this year.

Don't tell Santa - I now have four plant racks and seven lights. I didn't have any lights earlier this year.
And it all started with one light, after one plant. I got my Paph druryi and the owner of Golden Gate Orchids said "you need to get a light".
Opps.

Great save Jeremy! It's a beautiful color. I think as the plant gets larger so will the flower.
Aren't T5HOs amazing? When I first installed mine I swear I could actually see the plants grow. It was crazy. Like you I've bloomed things that never should have bloomed indoors. My success in orchid growing definitely turned a corner the day I put up lights!

YES! And to give proper credit, after Tom at Golden Gate, Terri (here) gets the *blame* for my light setup. She's the one who sent me in the right direction to get what I have today... at least to start with!
Thanks Terri!

I'm no expert on phrag and I only have one, which is not the same kind either.
However, as you say, the thing is like bone dry and the leaves, especially the new growths look very nice.
I would stick the whole thing in very moist mix of some sort and wait.
I noticed a significant enhancement of plant growth once I started to put my phrag in a saucer full of water. I was surprised how much they enjoy being in water! lol

It's a jewel! And what you said about leaving plants alone (during your trip to Hawaii) couldn't be more true for me as well.
Went on vacation this summer for a couple weeks, half-closed the shutters, and watered everything before I left. Came back to everything looking great, just a few yellowed lower leaves on my dracæna.
Almost as if when I left, my plants were saying "Don't let the door smack you on the butt on your way out!"
